Looked everywhere to find a replacement 61002085 thermostat for my Whirlpool refrigerator. Was a little skeptical with the 61002085-ER, but the thermostat has been working well. Had to cut the metal bracket ears on each side to fit the existing slot, and the control **** indicating level of "coldness" doesn't seem to match up as well, but overall the thermostat is doing what it is supposed to.
It is consistant. It dose not raise above the freezing point. It is too cold. If it is turned any lower it shuts off the compressor.
Though the part did work it took some modifying to make it fit the actual bracket but it does work
