Install was quick, the unit functions as expected. An excellent alternative to the in my opinion, overpriced OEM from Miele.
It just works. Silent and invisible. :)
Replacement part that fit, not exactly, but manageable, slightly bigger than existing oem part, but after little adjustments, fit and work as supposed to
My Miele G6625 stopped filling with water and knew it was a bad solenoid after 7 years of daily use. Instead of spending twice the price for the Miele part, I ordered this one as it was made in Canada and looked to be good quality. I got it delivered just 3 days later in Florida. I took the original part out of the bottom of the Dishwasher and went to install this new part. The only issue is the white connecting hose was a bit too long to fit (as was mentioned by another review). I had to cut it a few times to make it the proper length to fit. After it was installed I tested to make sure it worked and there was no leaks. Everything was OK so got the unit put back together and into the cabinet.
I then tested it a few times to make sure it filled without any problem. The only thing I noticed is that this replacement solenoid makes a noticeable "hum" sound when in use filling the tub with water (the original part was silent). The hum is not terrible, but definitely can here it when in the kitchen, but this only last for about 1 minute each time it is activated to fill with water.
Overall for the price and a few hours for me to replace it, I am pleased with the purchase.
Works great. However, the valve is an inch or so longer than the original part. Additionally, the tubing is also longer. You have to be careful when installing to avoid the interfering with the float.
